I used to spend a lot of time sitting at the piano, writing little pieces. I've never been a very good pianist, but there's something cathartic about working something out at it anyway. Today this piece popped into my head and it reminded me of the little pieces I used to write. Like this one, they were often cyclical, and focused more on the direction I wanted the harmony to go than developing the melody. 

Sometimes I would play them for my friends, but there aren't any practice rooms around here to drag someone into, so I've dragged you all into the internet with me instead!
