Candy Bilyk is a composer and violist based out of Santa Monica, CA. She composes for theater, film, video games, and the concert hall, and plays in ensembles of any size.
As a member of Savage Umbrella, she creates new, socially relevant theater. In April 2013, Savage Umbrella will present a workshop presentation of story material from her chamber opera, The Golden Carp.
Candy is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP); American Composers Forum (ACF); American Viola Society (AVS) and Southern California Viola Society; Society of Composers and Lyricsts (SCL); and Game Audio Network Guild (GANG).
